Wind- cars
MFor science and technology we created wind powered cars. We looked at suitable materials to use, that would encourage movement by wind.
Here we created and tested them in the class by blowing on them with our breath. Students had to adjust wheels and masts to create effective models.
We exhibited our creations in the hall for the Science Fair.
Today we were lucky to have a breeze. We took our cars to the courts and raced them. What fun!!!

Creating with play dough
Today the group working at the playdough table followed a rugby theme. Motivated by a few rugby fanatics in the class. Here you can see some players, with their numbers at the back. There is the rugby post and ball too. Clever boys😀
Creating pinwheels
We are learning about how the Holy Spirit is like the wind. We can't see it, but we can feel how it works. We made pinwheels and took them outside to see how they worked in the wind. Unfortunately the rain kept on coming, so we had to go inside. But, while walking around the class with them, we discovered that by moving, we create wind and can power them by our movement. Lots of fun learning!!

Celebrating Pentecost
Here we all are with the flames of the Holy Spirit- just like the flames that appeared to Jesus's disciples.
